Jocketa October 24th, 1986
Today we hiked to the “Lochbauernhof” [“hole farm”] and then on to Plauen. After lunch we hiked back via “Pfaffenmühle” [“priest's mill”]. (10km).
Here you can see my attempt at drawing a map like my dad did yesterday. Interestingly both mentioned restaurants Lochbauernhof and Pfaffenmühle still exist today. Though I doubt I would recognize them anymore.
I'm a bit surprised I didn't mention the bridge at the top of the map. It's the Elster Viaduct - a huge stone construction from 19th century. As my picture hints at, there's a foot path at the middle level while the top is reserved for the railway.
