My worst Prediction

I got tagged by Carlo asking me for my worst prediction. He gives a good example of a bad prediction by quoting Bill Gates from 2004:

Spam will be a thing of the past in two years’ time.

So what similar stupid thing did I say in the past? Probably many, but this is one I remember:

DVD players will never replace VCRs because people will miss the possibility to record TV shows.

Doh. Seems like I was dead wrong 8-O .

It's not so wrong in the sense that people still want to record. There exist combi-devices (DVD+VCR), DVD recorders, and then there's TiVo. VCRs will only disappear when a digital recording replacement has become mainstream.
