Website Updates

This is just a quick post to let you know about two new features at my sites.

Friendfeed powered Linkblog

FriendFeed does a wonderful service of aggregating my online life. Much of it comes in the form of links. It may be an article I read in Google Reader, a site I stumble on or a YouTube video. Whenever I share or bookmark them in the various services, FriendFeed knows.

Friendfeed

The logical next step was to use this to feed my Linkblog. I wrote a (not yet released) plugin for DokuWiki which uses the FriendFeed API to pull in and display the links. It also filters out the noisier services (like twitter) and provides a convenient RSS feed.

DokuWiki Quick Navigation

The whole DokuWiki development and support is handled through different tools, located on different sites. Because new users often do not know about all the tools we use, I added a simple navigation bar to all those sites.

DokuWiki Quick Navigation

The bar is shown at the very top of all DokuWiki related service pages and also features a search box that uses the DokuWiki Google search. You can see it at the main DokuWiki site.

Please let me know what you think of those changes. Are they useful for you? Is there something missing you'd like to see added? Let me know in the comments.
