New Zealand Landscapes

Kaddi and me returned from our New Zealand vacation yesterday. It was amazing. We did rent a camper van and toured through the whole south island. There wasn't enough time to see the north island too¹⁾, but we managed to do a day trip to Wellington at least.

We took a gazillion of photos and I can't decide to pick just a handful of them for my blog post. So I will do three posts instead. This first post will give you some impressions of New Zealand's beautiful and diverse landscapes.

Awesome! Especially those stormbent trees, simply amazing! Looking forward to the other posts :D And I really have to get my arse off this continent some day ;)

Those trees where very close to the most southern point of the South Island, still about 4800km from the south pole ^_^.

Personally I was most impressed by the rain forests - just as their counterparts in other parts of the world sans the dangerous animals and the insane temperatures.

Nice pictures indeed, the viewing pleasure would be much improved without the CSS Bug ( http://metabrot.gesternwarnich … tbrain.jpg ) on Firefox. :( I don't see the next button...

Jan, I can not reproduce this error. What browser do you use? Until I find a fix you can always use the arrow keys to switch between images.

This is indeed interesting. On my Mac (current Firefox 3) everything looks fine (resolution 1280x800). On my Vista System (also current Version of Firefox 3, resolution 1280x1024) I get a three column design where the "This is the personal web site ..." appears to be the third column. An my Mac it appears as the footer, below the content and I don't have the problem.

That´s funny. I always thought it´s a three column layout. The "This is the personal web site..." column is on the right side. (FF version 3.0.4, resolution 1680x1050)
The next-button of your gallery is partial covered by the images of your secent readers.

But what I originaly wanted to say: very impressive fotos!
