Ireland in Pictures

We're back from our two week trip to Ireland. We started in Dublin and went clockwise around the whole island.

It was fantastic, we had gorgeous weather mostly and took over 1500 photos. I tried hard to pick a reasonably sized selection of pictures for this blogpost, but it might still be too much.

It's 72 photos overall. Please use the numbers to switch pages and click a thumbnail to enlarge the picture. You can use your arrow keys for easily browsing to the next picture (RSS Readers click through, please).

I added captions to all the pictures, but it all very sparse. If you like to see or learn more about any of the things you can see on photos, please leave me a comment and I consider writing a bit more about it in an additional post.

BTW, I also wrote short Qype reviews of the restaurants and accommodations we used.

Great pictures! Make my vacation pictures look somewhat boring ;)

Did you rent a car to get around or did you use public transportation?

Yes, we had a rental car and went around the whole island. We hadn't booked our accommodations in advance. We simply looked for a B&B when we thought we'd seen enough for a day. Worked perfectly fine.
