This is a community project. The aim is to create a large file icon collection with a coherent style. The collection is neither perfect nor complete, yet. Any help is welcome.

All icons are given away to the Public Domain. You can use them in any way you like, with no restrictions.

If you want to submit new icons, please follow these rules:

• the icon should look good on light and dark backgrounds (some existing icons could be improved for this)
• don't use alpha transparency (we might change this when IE6 is a thing of the past)
• use the txt.png or file.png as template for your icons
• use a 16×16 pixel PNG
