DokuWiki on a Stick 2008-05-05

DokuWiki on a Stick is a preconfigured DokuWiki installation which comes with its own stripped down Apache webserver. This allows you to run DokuWiki from a portable device like an USB stick on any Windows computer without installing anything on the computer itself.

This new release is similar to the first version, but comes with some updated software. DokuWiki was upgraded to the latest release so was the used MicroApache. It now comes with PHP 5.2. It also has sqlite support, which isn't used currently but might in future DokuWiki releases.

Many thanks to M. Shaw for maintaining the MicroApache project which makes DokuWiki on Stick possible. If you use it, why not send him a “Thank You” mail or leave a comment here.

I absolutely adore MicroApache. The ability to run an entire server off of a CD or floppy is just mind-boggling. He has done an amazing job. I love it. ^_^
