Kaddi and me recently moved both our desks into a single room facing each other. This means all the computer cables are now basically in the middle of the room under our desks. Of course that's not very Roomba compatible and I had to find a solution for that.
I googled a bit but wasn't satisfied with other people's DIY solutions or commercially available stuff. It all looked like a lot of work with unfuddling the cables and neatly realigning them. I just wanted to have the mess away from the floor and up under the desk. Without necessarily doing anything about the mess itself .
So I came up with my own simple solution. I just used a bunch of S-shaped hooks and eyes to hang a plywood board beneath our desks. Works great:
